Our founder, Anjali, rescued her dog Diamond from the Front Street Animal Shelter.

Upon discovering that Diamond was a tiny percentage of wolf, Anjali started doing research and discovered that 90% of wolves and wolf dogs who are surrendered to shelters get euthanized. This knowledge fueled Anjali to rescue and place wolves and wolf-dogs before acquiring her own property with the help of her mother.

Every year 8-10 million dogs and cats are euthanized because there aren’t enough people adopting from shelters. It’s so important to not buy from a breeder because there are millions of animals who need loving homes.

At Jaws and Paws, we save dogs and cats from death row at high risk kill shelters, and take in or foster dogs or cats who need homes. Before adopting any puppy or kitten out, we get them vetted and ensure they are healthy for their new forever homes. With the help of our amazing fosters, we are able to provide secure temporary homes for abandoned pets.
